Gilbert LLP Brings on Two New Partners

Gilbert LLP, a Washington-D.C. law firm that specializes in insurance and complex dispute resolution, announced today that it has added two seasoned litigators to its partnership.  Sonia Murphy and Charlie Cooper both started with the firm on March 10.

Murphy and Cooper have more than 30 years combined experience litigating an extensive range of matters.  Murphy comes to Gilbert from the U.S. Department of Justice, where she represented the United States in government contract, employment, veterans and other benefits appeals, and international trade matters.  She has private law firm experience, including with White & Case LLP, and has served as Counsel to the Chairman at the U.S. International Trade Commission.

Cooper joins the firm from Weiner Brodsky Kider, where his practice focused on government enforcement and investigations as well as class action defense.  He has also served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Texas and worked in private practice in Austin.
