Emmanuella Saforo Associate

Emmanuella Saforo joined Gilbert in 2023. She works with Gilbert attorneys on a range of complex civil litigation matters involving corporate and individual clients. Prior to joining Gilbert LLP, and during law school, Emmanuella worked on music industry business and intellectual property matters at NBCUniversal.

Emmanuella received her law degree from the George Washington University Law School. She participated in the Intellectual Property and Tech Law Clinic where she represented entrepreneurs and artists needing trademark and copyright legal assistance. She also assisted with government investigations and examined preparedness for COVID-19, including the planning for and implementation of testing and containment on the U.S. House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis. In February 2023, Emmanuella was awarded the Jean-Marie Sylla, Jr. Legacy Award from the National Bar Association Commercial Law Section (NBA-CLS).

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

  • Assisting in representing a bankruptcy trust in Chapter 11 bankruptcy and adversary proceedings to preserve and maximize insurance recovery for the benefit of personal injury claimants.
  • Assisting in securing compensation for U.S. citizen who endured torture by foreign government.
  • Assisted in representing a Fortune 500 company in the automotive sector in mediation resulting in the payment of hundreds of millions of dollars in insurance proceeds to compensate claims arising out of alleged exposure to asbestos.
