Kami E. Quinn Partner

Kami Quinn brings more than two decades of experience and ingenuity to the most cutting-edge and high-profile matters in insurance recovery and mass tort.

Kami’s practical, focused eye develops solutions for the most intractable problems involving insurance, products liability, mass torts and bankruptcy. Corporate clients, creditor committees in bankruptcy, and individuals have all sought her counsel to resolve existential problems in widely diverse areas where billions are at stake: asbestos injury, sexual abuse claims, opioid-related liability, safety products, talc-related injuries, malpractice claims, and directors and officers liability.

Kami brings leadership and a deft hand to working with the multiple constituencies involved in these complex matters, and an unwavering focus on efficient solutions. Much of Kami’s recent work has centered around the complicated intersection of bankruptcy and insurance recovery in many of the most high-profile cases in the nation where she has successfully developed strategies to maximize and preserve billions of dollars in insurance assets.

Kami also serves as the Chair of Gilbert LLP’s Executive Committee.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

  • Secured many hundreds of millions of dollars through settlement with insurance companies on behalf of various mass tort defendant companies.
  • Counsels numerous asbestos and non-asbestos creditor committees and future claimants representatives in bankruptcy cases with respect to negotiating plans of reorganization and securing and maximizing CGL insurance coverage.
  • Secured hundreds of millions of dollars through settlement with various insurance companies on behalf of bankruptcy trusts created for the benefit of personal injury claimants.
  • Advised the successor to a Fortune 500 company concerning its global strategy for insurance recovery and litigation of certain insurer disputes.
  • Advised and counseled a food products company concerning business interruption and property damage coverage available in connection with the recall of potentially contaminated products.
